We want to point out some internet websites that might be
of interest to you if you have not already seen them:

1) The site for the Ceramics Museum in Boleslawiec (Bunzlau) at

http://www.muzeum.boleslawiec.net/en/site

This is a welldesigned site with photo tours of pottery examples, old photos of Bunzlau, exhibition views, etc. We love the background color which matches the chocolate color of the old brown slip ware. Sometimes, things don't function completely, however (at the moment the pottery tour jams). You also may need to hit the Refresh button to get things going. You can click an english language version and read and leave messages on the Gestbook (guestbook). Messages are being left in German and English as well as in Polish, so please do leave a note letting them know of the American interest in Bunzlauer ware.

2) The Gronowitz Family Bunzlauer Home Page in Germany at

http://www.gronowitz.de/bunzfram.htm

This is a superb site with loads of photos of the Gronowitz's own collection of the Art Deco spraypainted Bunzlauer ware in which they specialize. They also have a number of links to other BunzIauer sites including to one they are creating for us (they are really the nicest folks). They have a message page, so please do leave a comment telling them of your interests. They also have a forum page for further Bunzlauer discussions and announcements (We have announced the Georgia show in both German and English on it). You may use either English or German at these sites.

 3) The Achim Piltz Bunzlauer Home Page in Germany at

http://www.bunzlau.de/

Herr Piltz is a great grandson of the Bunzlauer pottery owner Julius Paul. His site is devoted to Julius Paul und Sohn ceramics and also has a fine photo archive of old BunzIau pictures and all sorts of links to related sites (inlcuding the Boleslawiec Ceramics Museum). He has a message board for you to leave your comments and you may do so in English.

4) The Heinz Steinbach Bunzlauer Home Page in Germany at

http://home.tonline.de/home/heinz.steinbach/

This is also available via links from other sites. It presents a nice run of pottery photographs, showing pieces both old and new.

5) A private Bunzlauer Collection in Germany at

http://www.mickiswelt.de/ahnen/keramik.htm

This shows some nice Bunzlauer pottery examples.

6) The modern Frommhold Pottery in Eastern Germany at

http://www.toepferei-frommhold.de/english/index.php3

This is but one of several several sites for contemporary pottery in the Bunzlauer tradition but the pottery is one of the best and most traditional and the website offers this version in English.

7) The Jens Cullman private homepage at

http://bunzlauer.com

A very well designed website with lots of photographs.
